Charterhouse Capital Partners invests in SLR Consulting

SLR Consulting (“SLR”), a leading global environmental and advisory consultancy, announces that it has agreed to partner with Charterhouse Capital Partners (“Charterhouse”), a leading European private equity firm, to support the business in its next phase of growth and development.

The transaction will be implemented by way of a conditional court approved scheme of arrangement by SLR and it is anticipated that completion will take place by mid-2018.

The new partnership with Charterhouse will help drive SLR’s ambitious plans for growth and support the company making new acquisitions, building on SLR’s existing strong position and consolidating the fragmented environmental consultancy industry.

As part of Charterhouse’s investment, SLR’s management team and other employees will retain a substantial equity stake in the business, while 3i will fully exit its holding in the company.
