Card Factory

Card Factory is the UK's leading value retailer of greetings cards. Founded in 1997, the company has expanded from Wakefield in the North of England and has a unique vertically integrated business model, which encompasses all stages from card design, printing and logistics through to retailing.

Card Factory has a range of over 8,500 cards with the majority at retail price points of 59p, 89p and 99p. It also sells associated products including wrapping paper, gift bags, picture frames and soft toys.

During the period of ownership, Charterhouse worked closely with management to grow the business opening 250 further stores and in 2011 acquired “gettingpersonal.co.uk” a growing online personalised gifts and cards provider.

Card Factory floated on the London Stock Exchange in May 2014.
