ERM is a global specialist environmental and sustainability consultancy. Its key practice areas include contaminated site management, performance and assurance services and impact assessment and planning. Headquartered in the UK and founded in the 1970s, it advises global and local clients spanning the oil & gas, mining, power, manufacturing, chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors.

Charterhouse sold ERM to a consortium of OMERS Private Equity and AIMCo. in 2015. During the period of ownership, Charterhouse worked closely with management to grow the business both organically and through a number of acquisitions.
