about me

Victor joined Charterhouse as Partner and Head of Asia in the Portfolio Team in 2020. Prior to joining Charterhouse, Victor was a Managing Director at CDIB Capital Asia Partners and sat on the Investment Committee. Besides leading its China deal team, Victor also spearheaded the operational value-add and overall support for the Chinese operations of all portfolio companies. Victor started his PE career as Managing Director of US-based Sun Capital Partners and Chairman and President of its China operations. Prior to this, Victor served as Chairman and president of Greater China for Eaton Corporation, then a US Fortune 500 company. He also had responsibility for all Eaton Asia Pacific M&A activities. Prior to Eaton, Victor held various leadership positions such as Finance Director and Corporate Treasurer for both General Motors and Delphi with responsibilities for capital market, corporate finance, banking, and M&A operations in China and in US. He also served as CFO and the Board Member of UTStarcom China, one of the earliest Chinese companies listed in NASDAQ. Victor started his career at the Chinese Ministry of Commerce in Beijing.

Victor holds an MBA and an MS in Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park. Victor is fluent in Mandarin and English.
